Yurting Fiona-style

We've had a full week of:

Relaxing with Pop on the couch,

figuring out that those things at the end of our arms are sometimes useful,

Elliott doing actual work (new outside area at the Latona),

enjoying new technology (thanks to the generosity of her new friend Sadie),

and gathering strength by napping on the couch, guarded by lions.

Strength gathered, we left Friday late afternoon and drove out past Roslyn to our friends Koral and Dave's yurt.  We hung out with a whole slew of friends, jumped in the cold river, drank beer, cooked sausages on the camp fire, ran dirt roads in the sun, and felt wonderfully far away for the weekend.

The first night was pretty chilly in the tent so we stayed bundled up for feeds.

But by morning the sun warmed us up quickly.  Grammy made that bunny hat!

Burping the bunny after her breakfast.  This is supposed to be a movie but it looks like a still to me.  Does it work?

Camp chairs make nice changing tables for kids weighing 8 pounds.

Swinging with Duncan by the river.

"You've got a nice beard but I don't think you're my Pop."

A little series of play time with Desmond, son of Duncan and Stephanie.   They're only 4 months apart though it's hard to imaging them ever being the same size or grade in school.  Fun.

Day-time slinging.

She especially liked Rebekah and Matt.

Desmond and Uncle Dave.

Snuggling up for a chilly evening in the mountains.

We're off for 5 days in the San Juans for Tess and Mike's wedding festivities tomorrow.  First trip to Canada, first wedding, first ferries, first lots-o relatives.  Adventures!

xoxo, Liz
