We may have overdone the playgrounding when the sun came out last week. We spent 5 1/2 hours at Buttermilk and then Ithaca Beer and then Stewart Park. She flew off a little merry-go-round into the wood chips, cried and said, "Not nice, Horsie!" and got right back on, tears fresh. Note the well-earned leg bruises. Here she is taking a car nap while I finish my charting from the day before. I periodically went to check on her and eventually found her reading Mother Goose and asking to go to the playground. It's gonna be a fun summer.
She's been calling herself "Morgan" for a couple weeks now and we think he's her first crush.
He's the guy strapped to that crane up in the tree so he deserves her awed love.
Plus he brings big, loud trucks up our driveway and impresses the neighbors.
And lets toddlers play with the wood chipper (while it's off).
It was a pretty exciting day in the neighborhood and we now feel free to linger in our driveway without fear of falling limbs.
Elliott says this is the Happy Little Lorax before it grew hair.
Helping clean up the trimmings.
Thanks to neighbors, Lee and Lara, for bringing up their old play house to street level.
You probably can't see her (because she says she's a ghost) but Fiona's in there reading.
Happy Birthday, Elliott!
We adore you.
And we STRONGLY recommend the Hazelnut Kitchen in Trumansburg.
We had the chef's choice 4-course Monday special and it was really interesting and tasty.
