He made it! And so did we! Samuel Bogel Ryan joins the party. And hot diggity, is he cute.

Commentary by the parent who didn't have surgery.
xoxo, the one who did.
Enjoy!

So here we are, moments before the event we have been anticipating for what seems like for ever.  We look pretty relaxed.

Here is the first photo of our new delight.  Samuel Bogel Ryan.  Born at 11:01am on 7/13/15.  He weighed in at 6 pound, 2.5 ounces.
Joyful wife and mom.

Sam knows what feels good, even though he hasn't yet figured out the bounty that awaits within.

Sam makes the rounds.  Uncle Nick is not as scared as I was of newborn holding.  Before Fiona I had avoided picking up these little bundles for fear some acute onset of clumsiness yet unidentified by western medicine would cause me to flail and drop them.

Grandpa Rick has some experience with holding these.

Fiona took some time to process the situation, but it is sinking in and I think she will love her role as big sister.

A visit from Kerry brings a mirthful perspective.

No, he looks like you.

Pop's armpit is a cozy spot despite the odor.

Happy to be held by loved ones.

Colostrom from the syringe until the boobs really get flowing.

Happy to see our big daughter today.  She kissed Sam on the head.

Focus on the Family. Or scatter in all directions.
