A few pics from Elliott's adventures yesterday and one of him on the road by the hospital, goats and all.
Sonal and I are finishing up our DIC lecture and brushing up on how the venom of Bitis arietans causes a "DIC-like illness" for tomorrow's presentation. We spent the morning hearing a lecture on anti-retroviral therapy from one of the residents and then I and a new medical student here from Jerusalem hung out with Dr. Desalu at his HIV outpatient clinic and Sonal split time between outpatient general clinic and the wards with a resident. We're considering palliative care for our lecture for next week. There is a sizeable disconnect between text books and reality that is evident in lectures which focus on medications that are not available and tests which can not be run. Perhaps more later but work calls.
Hi, Nan! We love you.
xo, liz
