This is a photo dump from the second half of March. Happy April!
Aran drove up from Philly for a visit (and a Cornell Hotel School conference). The weather was great! So we went for walks and played on playgrounds. And then counted up our fingers and toes...
He brought a beautiful little Adirondack chair from Zach and Josh. Immediate hit.
I love the wild excitement in these eyes.
Sunny walk home from the P&C wearing Pop's hat.
Biding their time in the Wegman's check-out line.
Last Tuesday (my day off) we went to Tot Spot at the Ithaca Youth Bureau and hung out with Ollie, Alden, and some other friends.
Then... we LEFT ITHACA for the first time since we arrived just over two months ago! When I got off work in Port Byron on Friday, I drove down to Aurora where Fiona was having her Friday afternoon time with Grandpa Rick and Grandma CB. After a little visit we hit the road back home to pack up and head east to Shelburne, MA. Fiona slept the last 3 1/2 hours of the 5-hour trip which was so lovely and low-maintenance. Elliott and I talked and listened to music and talked more and kept driving. Amazing. And, when we got to the Farm she went right back to sleep for the night after a nurse. Wonderful child.
My mom and Great-grandma Nan and Diane drove up from Nan's place in Connecticut for Saturday brunch and hang-out.
Pics are kind of small but I love them. These are 4 pretty stellar generations.
Gettin' some Auntie Schuyler lovin'.
Oh goodness, she's crazy about dogs. Little Hugo's crate was a great walking structure.
And Dilsey is perhaps the most patient 2yo ever.
Schuyler and Alex sent us home with bags and bags of gorgeous clothes that don't fit these jokers anymore.
Sunday we watched the Wild Blueberries (Ainsley and Eliza) take on the Shedevils in the last indoor soccer game of the year. Super fun to cheer. "What a tenacious berry!"
Then we had a goodbye lunch at the Northampton Brewery and Ainsley discovered that sipping water up a straw is no big thing if you've been nursing for ten months. Keeping it in your mouth is another question, but hey.
The ride home was a little more antsy than the sleepy ride there but not bad at all.
(Product placement by Danny.)
Now we have a week of 50-degree weather predicted, a swim class on Saturday, the Skunk Cabbage Classic, the first Music and Movement class Tuesday, all of our birthdays... what a season!
xoxo
