We got our pumpkinning on on the Watkins-Mizrahi compound Tuesday when it was sunny and gorgeous. We had appropriately low expectations for productivity given our crafting buddies.

Fiona undid ALL my hard work (while I videotaped).
We stayed in with 3 grandparents and ate home-made pizza (and took on-call pages) for Halloween. Judging by the terror in Fiona's eyes when masked strangers showed up, waiting until next year to trick-or-treat is a good idea.
We broke out the winter suit to venture up to watch a windy Cornell Women's soccer game against Princeton. My college coach is retiring after this year so it was nice to lay eyes on her and remember riding the bench one final time. Thank god I found rugby.
We got an awesome new toy. It came with a big kid carseat but whatever.
Sunday before the game we took a wander up the hugely renovated Cascadilla Gorge Trail in perfect fall weather. Yum.
Yesterday we met 4 big, fast friends (and Julia and Karen, who are also big and fast) at Upper Buttermilk for some summy romping. Fiona started by getting stuck in a ditch.
She was very observant and not quite ready to jump into the 2yo fray. Here is Teak, about to get attacked by a tickle hand.
We came home and had a good nap and then an afternoon filled with fast running, new words, helping with outside projects, and excellent eating. It was like she took notes in the morning and exploded in the afternoon. I'm so curious to see what adding school in a couple weeks does to this amazing little brain.
