Family partying, preseason quarterback sacking, hair chopping.

Wait, what?  We're still supposed to be keeping a blog?  Oops.
I no longer have goals.
I have faith they will return but, for now, I am aspiring not to want.

This little guy is a growing MACHINE and has been spending most of his third (current) growth spurt eating, burping in preparation for more eating, and turning milk into poop: sweet, pre-solid-food baby poop.
When nobody is available to read to Fiona she will read to her animals.
So there.  Take THAT, parents, if that is your real moniker.

Friday night we had a taco BBQ with our big slew of local family, these past two weeks two people larger as Eliza and Ainsley are Pursuing Primates attending Primitive Pursuits camp and living with Grammy next door.  Awesome for all involved, most of all Fiona.  Every day they come home with more bug bites and stories of throwing tomahawks, building fires in team silence, whittling spoons, making mosquito salve, getting (briefly) lost in the wilderness, and laughing with counselors.  Makes me wish I were 10 again.

Here are some pics from BBQ night.
Uncle Nick as patient craft and snack table:

Grandparental types poring over 1972 Uncle Alex pics.
Spoiler alert: he DOES look like Sam.

Play-doh table got some good use.
Thank you to my Ovid crew for Fiona's huge Play-Doh set!  Such a wonderful big sister present.

Why were they singing, "Ooohhh, Sooooosannn!" by the end of the night?
Why was the carrot named, "Susan"?

And who let this girl have another G&T?

Elliott put this guy from 1974 with no neck strength on the toilet.
Fiona looked at him and grunted.

Peaceful Baby with Tiger.

Washing dishes.
For an hour.

In Batman undies.
Waiting for Eliza to finish her blueberry mini-pies so she can eat them.

Studious camper.

Cuties.

Cuties.

Daily cheek growth is apparent.
His.

Last night we went out to Ithaca Beer for a picnic dinner and every child in Ithaca flocked to Ainsley and Eliza as if electing them CITs for the night.  The girls obliged and led (mostly rule-less) round after round of duck-duck-goose and settled many a toddler dispute.

Really lovely night with these guys.

Chilling in the shade, appreciating the wafts of pizza and pulled pork.
Next year, kiddo.

"Rocking my little brother"

This morning she requested to wear her new Marshawn Lynch jersey and take Marshawn Lynx to school with her.

I tried to play it a LITTLE cool but this makes me really happy.

Can we go to practice now, Mom?

Sacking the quarterback after nap.  Lola is standing in for Kaepernick today as it's still preseason.

And finally, the growing ranks (no pun intended) of Short Hair Club!
(Elliott's in it too but he was getting a haircut at photo time.)
(Oh, and that's charcoal face paint; she's not a Klingon.)
