We put the chicken suit to work for the Pumpkin Push 5K at Seward Park last Saturday. Super cozy suit with belly padding. My mom made these awesome thumbless mittens (paddles?) that caused Elliott to call her "Kung Fu Chicken".
There were tons of fun folks in costume and the weather was pretty darn nice.
Here are the super Mayers.
Lynma (no typo) met us at the finish and snapped some pics.
Since DeeDee is out of town tending to the Dalai Lama and his royal health, and Jen was having her residency class over at home, we invaded DeeDee's apartment to watch the Seahawks game and Game 5 of the World Series. Thanks, Deeds!
Fiona has TWO TEETH! It seems like such a big kid thing to do, pop a couple teeth through her bottom gums, so she must be a big kid. Thanks, Auntie Diane, for the totally appropriate bib.
We're filling her full of yummy iron with lean organic beef pulvarized with apple (beefle?), and expanding her palate with delicacies including breast milk slushies of avocado, yam, Granny Smith, and chick pea (hummus was better the second time around). It's amazing how fast she's learned how to use her tongue to sweep the food back into her throat instead of pushing it out the front. Genius.
All hail, Queen Ducky!
These awesome kids are Halloweening it up in Massachusetts tonight.
We love you, Eliza and Ainsley!
I got this special piece of cinematography while precepting in clinic this afternoon.
So good to know everyone's having fun back at the ranch.
I love this.
We went out to the Olympia Pizza House to hang with Duncan, Stephanie, and Desmond.
Here are my beloved goofballs after a rousing outdoor diaper change.
4 wonderful faces.
And... happy halloween!

I disagree with the title of your blog; you will have much more control than you think for the next two years. After that, she is in charge, but savor those two years. Love you all.
Every morning I HOWL at your last picture--the outrageously ultra "happy" accordionist.
